DO NOT USE THIS VETS. MONEY MAKING SCAM. WAY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER VETS. THEY USE YOUR LOVE TO EXPLOIT AND ADD UNNECESSARY ITEMS ONTO A BILL. I saw a vet at Christmas for our pet Hamster. The vet 'kindly' waived the fee. Since then we had monthly letters sent to us asking for the money. I emailed and called in repeatedly and they said it would be sorted, or they didn't know which vet it was. A year later I have received a foul letter and matching email, threatening debt collectors and blacklisting from all the other vets affiliated with them. The unknown vet has turned out to be Andrew and he says he didn't mean what was said, it was a 'miscommunication'. The fee has not been waived and I now have to pay it. Amazing how all that time, nobody knew which vet and suddenly we do. Amazing how you kindly waive a fee then don't. No Christmas spirit after all, and more Scrooge. Quite disgusted as they have dragged out the trauma and left me feeling like a common criminal. ALL my vet bills have been paid. We were led to believe that the vet was offering a kindness. Clearly this group owned by the Mars Corporation are without money. Do yourselves a favour, find a good old fashioned vet with their own practice and pay half the price. I will NEVER use them again. This has all been so upsetting, and distressing.

I had my boy put down here last minute as an emergency. I can’t say I was overly impressed with the service. Forms were brought in to sign in the middle of me grieving with him instead of at the start before he was brought in when we had agreed on euthanasia. There was very little dignity involved, he was brought in and obviously due to the nature of the situation had made quite a mess on the table, no such attempt was made to help clean this up or even offer me any wipes so I could do it myself (I found a box of tissues on the side and did it myself). After it was done, I was offered a thin blanket to carry him out in which wasn’t enough to cover him properly and quickly became mucky, (why not have small flat packed boxes on hand for ease of transport and to preserve the animals dignity?). I then had to carry him out poorly wrapped through the practice and out of the side door as the reception was quite busy, all of the staff just staring at me like a deer in headlights really helped as well. I came in the next day to settle the bill (£215 for a 5 minute check over and euthanasia..), I paid it as quickly as I could and left. The staff are obviously overworked and trying their best but I personally wouldn’t use this practice again as it felt more like dealing with robots than actual people, particularly when I dealt with the same receptionist from the day before who didn’t think to offer any condolences when reading out what I’d come to pay my bill for. Would have been one star but for the fact that they got me in immediately and helped end his suffering quickly.

Our Frenchie Olive suffered a horiffic dog attack & had a large area of her back and neck badly bitten. We rushed her to Wicstun vet hospital. She was shaking and panting with shock and we were worried that she wouldn't make it. Upon arrival, a vet nurse was in the car park waiting to assist, with a towel to wrap Olive in. She was then immediately put onto an iv drip and admitted to the hospital. Over a 2 week period Olive needed to revisit the hospital on numerous occasions and be sedated whilst her dressings were changed. Thankfully Olive's progress has been good. The care and support received at Wicstun (Amber in particular) has been exceptional & we are sincerely grateful. Mark & Belinda Craig....and Olive

I HIGHLY recommend this veterinary hospital! My dog had suffered an injury to her left side and needed stitching immediately. Our vets were in York, but as we were in Market Weighton, I rang this vets, they were 100% professional from the receptionist answering the phone and keeping me calm when I forgot which insurance was for Harleyquinn. All the staff were so kind and lovely, the surgery is immaculate, major plus, as we've had a bad experience at another vet's! We are now several weeks on, and the wound is healing well, with no complications at all. This hospital is now our veterinary hospital, the 40 mile round trip for peace of mind is worth it!!! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thank you so much, everyone 💖
