Vets in York, East Yorkshire
Generated from publicly available data sources; may not fully represent the broader set of reviews.
VetPartners Limited, based in York, is a veterinary group that appears to be a mixed bag based on customer feedback. The clinic holds an overall Google Maps rating of 3.9 stars from 15 reviews, indicating a slightly above-average reputation. However, the detailed written reviews present a more complex picture.
The most recent review highlights a negative experience, where a long-term customer was unable to secure a timely euthanasia service for their elderly cat, leading them to seek assistance from a different local veterinary service. This suggests potential issues with service availability or scheduling at VetPartners. Another review criticizes the high cost of medication, which was significantly cheaper online, raising concerns about pricing transparency and competitiveness.
A further negative review describes a misdiagnosis incident involving a cat, which resulted in unnecessary expenses and ongoing billing disputes. This reflects potential issues with diagnostic accuracy and customer service follow-up. Despite these criticisms, the clinic also received two positive reviews. One complimented the professionalism of the headquarters, and another declared satisfaction without elaboration, suggesting that there are clients who have had satisfactory experiences.
Overall, while VetPartners Limited seems to have a professional setup and a broad network of vet practices, it faces challenges in customer satisfaction and pricing transparency. Potential clients may want to consider these factors, especially the mixed reviews, when deciding on veterinary care. Transparency in pricing and improvements in customer service could enhance client trust and satisfaction.

I called to ask for help for my 17.5 year old cat today after using the Malton branch of Minster vets for 26 years, to be told that the vet couldn’t come to euthanise her, as she was too busy. (I’m not able to drive at the moment to take her into the surgery).I was given a number to call to try to get another company to come, who was also not able to come for 12 hours at least and if not able, could get to me in 36 hours. I called another local vets who had someone to my home in 45 mins. This is not a company that treats animals ‘as if they are their own’ as stated on their website. The vet nurse on reception was very apologetic and clearly not her fault- but sometimes animals don’t get ill when it’s convenient and need our help. I will never use you again.

We subscribed to a pet health plan for our dog. Today we went to an affiliate surgery and was charged £40 for a cream which is available on the internet for £10. Shocking rip off Britain.

I used Paddons PE140DF As one of my cats had an accident! £500 later my cat was MISDIAGNOSED !as I contacted a referral vet to get a QUOTE to repair a FRACTURED pelvis. Grove vets said FREE to view xrays for a Quote! Grove Vets said NO FRACTURE! I have now received a Bill from PADDONS asking for £93.24 for sending MY xrays I paid £500 for! It was agreed from BOTH sides there was NO CHARGE! I would like to know WHAT is this charge for?? I am DISGUSTED with corporate VETS as MANY animals MUST be SUFFERING due to your OUTRAGEOUS prices for MISDIAGNOSING & obviously general things the average pet owner can NOT afford! Especially when your turnover is in EXCESS of £36MILLION! I sent emails DIRECT to vetpartners and so far been totally IGNORED!!
